The highest of six major dams on the Missouri River, the Fort Peck Dam is over 250 feet high. Fort Peck Reservoir is the fifth largest man-made lake in the US with more than 1520 miles of shoreline.
The 134-mile long lake is operated by the Army Corps of Engineers and exists for power generation.
